St Benedict by his profound humility and profound love

Was able to consummate profound courage and profound acts

Remove the Spirit of gluttony

By simple and habitual acts of mortification

And by prayerful and profound acts of charity and love

Great love and humility yield great things

Do even the little things with great love

Humility creates space for grace

Love and Grace fill the void

2 Corinthians 12:10 (RSV)

"For the sake of Christ, then,

I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities;

for when I am weak, then I am strong."
